By now you may be aware that Leonard Nimoy passed away at the age of 83 in Los Angeles today. Nimoy was a sci-fi and pop cultural icon, best known for his portrayal of Spock, the cerebral half-human, half-Vulcan from the Star Trek franchise who valued logic over emotion.

The internet will be flooded with remembrances of the life and cultural impact of Nimoy.
