Drawing inspiration from classic film score composers as well as loud, abrasive rock 'n' roll bands, Austin's Invincible Czars create the soundtracks to a prestigious list of cinematic classics. Here's how it goes down, four – that's right, only four – musical foley artists perform the soundtrack, much of it of their own composing, to beloved silent movies. Their most recent project being F. W. Murnau's classic vampire flick Nosferatu.

The instruments utilized by the four, again, only four m.f.'ing players here, include: violin, glockenspiel, organ, flute, bass clarinet, vocals, music box, loops, electric guitar, bass, singing bowl (yup, a singing bowl), tambourine and other hand percussion.

They will also incorporate Bela Bartok's Roumanian Folk Dances into the performance; a shoutout to Count Orlok's spooky-scary Eastern European place of origin.

This one-of-a-kind event takes place at 8pm – long after the sun has gone down and the moon is lush and full, like the alabaster nape of a virginal youth – Saturday, February 20 at Urban 15 HQ, located at 2500 S. Presa St. Tickets are available here and go for $10 a pop. Hit up your terror squad and get out to this, shit's gonna be popping harder than Orlok's collar.
