Feature Documentaries

 Friday, September 11
Poverty, Inc. (USA)

With a whopping 200 interviews conducted by director/producer Michael Matheson Miller in 20 countries, the award-winning Poverty, Inc takes a multi-cultured, in-depth looks at the big business behind charities. So take a closer look at your TOMs slip-ons, because the documentary asks the consumer's ultimate question. Could I be part of the problem?

Kingdom of Shadows (Mexico)

Directed by Bernardo Ruiz, Kingdom of Shadows takes a humane approach toward the U.S.-Mexican drug trade. A staggering number of Mexicans have vanished in the conflict, and only now has the general public showed concern, the documentary expresses.
