Damaging Hail Could Strike San Antonio Tuesday

Just two weeks after the second costliest hail event since the National Weather Service started measuring that kind of thing, the forecasting agency says more damaging hail could impact San Antonio again on Tuesday.

On April 12, large hail fell across Bexar County, causing $1.3 billion in damage.

And tomorrow could bring powerful storms packing hazardous winds and large hail, the National Weather Service said on Facebook. 

Powerful weather system moving across the Southern Plain on Tuesday will bring a slight risk of severe thunderstorms across the Hill Country including both Austin and San Antonio metropolitan cities. Large hail and damaging winds are expected to be the main weather hazards.

Following possible severe weather tomorrow, the National Weather Service says to expect a mostly cloudy week with scattered showers through Friday.
