The first new eatery of 2016 award goes to Grayze
(521 E. Grayson St., 210-481-8776) which is opening its doors to the public on Monday, January 11. The restaurant will open 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday (brunch is set to launch in February).
Grayze (I hope you use your skillz on Waze to get their safely), is part of Center Cut Concepts, a newly formed restaurant group, and includes Pedro Cuellar (formerly with Arcade Midtown Kitchen) and James Moore (owner of TBA) as opening team.
The restaurant, which replaces Grayson Street Eatery, will "offer a modern take on classic dishes at affordable prices," so expect to find recognizable neighborhood fare (think Reuben, banh mi, grilled cheese, salads, appetizers) and laid-back effervescent cocktails.
New year, new foods!
