There's a new sushi joint in town, sashimi lovers.
Wild Goji Restaurant and Bar opened inside the former home of Speisen European Cuisine. Named after goji berries, a super fruit, the restaurant carries a pretty extensive menu that includes a collection of starters and sushi rolls, ramen, katsudon and yakitori.
Chef/co-owner Nick Zheng has also added a New York sushi pizza on the menu with tortilla base, spicy tuna, salmon, seaweed salad and avocado and probably the most thorough list of Japanese-style skewers from chicken to steak to pork belly to chicken wings.
On the bar side of things, Wild Goji carries a small list of local craft beer along with cocktails including the Green Tea-tini (sake, vodka, green tea) and the Red Lotus (vodka, lychee, cranberries). Happy hour runs 3 to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday with $3 select draft beer, $3 select wines; a reverse happy hour is available 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday as well.
