The Good Kind
, which is set to open this fall inside the space formerly occupied by One Lucky Duck Texas, is giving San Antonio a taste of what's to come.
The concept is the brainchild of Tim McDiarmid of Tim the Girl culinary company. The Good Kind will be an extension of McDiarmid's food philosophy we already know from Tim the Girl: balanced, clean, modern and straight-forward fare. The shop will seat 20, but will also serve a large grab-and-go menu for breakfast, lunch dinner and snacks.
Those wanting to get a taste for what McDiarmid is cooking up for The Good Kind can stop by the Pearl Farmers Market on Saturdays and Sundays. A small market-driven menu is available for now, and includes chopped salad with feta, lemon and olive oil; a market bowl with grains and carrot ginger dressing; watermelon lemonade; beet ginger juice; and brown butter berry bars.
