Drawing seems to be the common thread in the wide-ranging exhibition of seven artists curated by Scott A. Sherer, Ph.D. The show's invitation reprints one of Hong Chun Zhang's large-scale drawings depicting a fluid cascade of braided hair, a motif she uses to reference the ties that bind her and her sisters. Artists Judith Cotrell, Kris Jones, Daniel Zeller, Janet Chaffee, Darcie Polo, and Albert Wong present work that ranges from the photo-realistic (even trompe l'oeil) to the simplicity of geometric color fields and sharp, arcing lines.
