Awesome, but not particularly weird press releases

Posted on Tue, Mar 30, 2010 at 4:03 PM

I got this from the amazing Joe Reyes this afternoon, and plan to check it out. You go too!

Just a heads up from Buttercup country about where we are in this latest foursome of grackle mundys as we head towards our first west coast tour dates later in April.

Last night's grackle was all about cover songs and we hit a few classic ones, including "Road to Nowhere" by the Talking Heads.

This coming Monday's show is an especially interactive one.

in the main room at the Blue Star Brewery will be our friend Chris Smart, aka DJ Smartypants, spinning his panoply of obscure vinyl treasures.

...And sequestered in a secret location will be Buttercup, playing to each audience member one at a time. (bold mine--SF)

There will be an usher, our friend Massie Center, to escort participants to our 'song lair', where we will prescribe songs to fit each individual listener and then perform them right on the spot.

if you've ever wanted a close-up intimate, private performance from us, now is the time.

Monday night, 7 to 9.

5 dollars or spin the wheel

Blue Star Brewing Company, 1414 S. Alamo st. #105

all ages, food and drink, grackleness.

Thanks everyone. hHpe you're having a good week. Savor this weather. It's pretty much hot from here on out. Stay tuned for grackles #3 and #4!
