The Branchline Brewing Co. second anniversary event has been postponed until January 16 and 17, due to anticipated inclement weather this weekend. The original post follows below.

Thursday, January 8: Tacos and Tequila will host another rendition of Tequila Underground. Bartenders will whip up new agave-based concoctions using premium tequilas, agaves, artisan sodas and bitters, and you get to taste test each for $7 as DJ Gabe Garza spins Latin sounds. Friday, January 9: Branchline Brewing Co. is celebrating its second anniversary with three brew sessions, each hitting on different beer techniques. Sample sour and barrel-aged beers on Friday, January 9 from 4 to 8 p.m.; casks and all their yummy goodness on Saturday, January 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and seasonal and rare tappings from 5 to 9 p.m. Lawn chairs are strongly encouraged. Saturday, January 10: The Chef Cooperative is back from its brief hiatus with an event benefitting Parr Vineyards. Held inside The Fig Tree's Dashiell House, the dinner will showcase 30 local farms and vendors in a seven-course dinner cooked by 13 of SA's top chefs and paired with spirits via Ranger Creek and Pedernales Cellars. Monday, January 12: Texas Monthly food editor Pat Sharpe will moderate a discussion between author Bob Shacochis (The Woman Who Lost Her Soul) and wife Barbara Petersen. Shacochis' book Domesticity: A Gastronomic Interpretation of Love chronicles his relationship with Petersen. Recipes from the culinary memoir touted as "doting, curative, seductive" by The Washington Post will be presented by Culinary Institute of America students. Monday, January 12: Flying Saucer San Antonio will participate in Big Beers and Barleywine Week from January 12 through January 18. Brews will be tapped throughout the entire week with an emphasis on beers via Dogfish Head, Firestone Walker, Blue Star, North Coast, Clown Shoes and more.
