    The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and MACRI present a lecture, art, and a book signing with Roy Pachecano, author and illustrator of A PASSION FOR PLACES. Pachecano’s inspiring illustrated sketchbook shows how Texas landmarks and buildings are connected to other places around the world. This event will take place at the Guadalupe Latino Bookstore (1300 Guadalupe St., SATX 78207) on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 6 pm. Light refreshments will be served.     The Irish Cultural Society of San Antonio will hold its monthly meeting on Sunday at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, in the parlor room, 102 Lorenz Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209. A business meeting, followed by a musical program/guest speaker and an Irish High Tea and other refreshments are planned. All are welcome. The Irish Cultural Society of San Antonio was founded in 1975.
