1. River Walk
This one hits close to home, as we truly do jog the River Walk at least once a week. Though a cement surface occasionally clogged with tourists might not seem the best running environment, the River Walk has three important features: First, it’s lighted at night; second, it’s relatively flat; third, if you start at the Pearl, you have easy, secure parking, and the promise of a La Gloria margarita after your five miler. Where else can you run through public art, race river taxis (you always win!), and admire the famous light displays during the holidays?
