Buttercup: A Musical Journey

Hometown rock ‘n’ rollers Buttercup have never lacked ambition — past feats include a packed 7 a.m. gig at the Cobalt Club, a live talk show and onstage snake-handling. The latest coup is an “ambulatory” show at the Empire Theatre, in which Erik Sanden, Joe Reyes, Odie and the Navaira brothers provide a tour of the Majestic/Empire complex, inviting the audience to explore the backstage warrens of the historic Downtown theaters. The concert and Downtown history listen is dedicated to the late tejano legend Emilio Navaira, the father of band members Diego and Emilio, Jr.
