Industry News: Dough extends hours, cracking parm at Whole Foods, Auden's Kitchen shuts doors

Dough Pizzeria expanded its Sunday hours to 12-9 p.m., making it one of the few fine dining restaurants in San Antonio open on Sundays for dinner. From noon to 2:30 p.m., the Italian joint is adding a Prima Colazione, or breakfast, menu for those of us who like eggs on Sundays.

Whole Foods is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for most number of Parmigiano Reggiano wheels cracked simultaneously on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Quarry and Stone Oak locations are participating with demos, tasting and events starting at noon.

We've been given no explanation for the closure of Bruce Auden's casual restaurant Auden's Kitchen, which first opened three years ago. Auden's River Walk restaurant Biga on the Banks was recently named a semifinalist in the James Beard Foundation awards for outstanding service.
