Street food comes to Alamo Heights

If the Boardwalk on Bulverde is too far of a drive for you (and let’s face it, it’s too far for many of us), you should try the tincan mashup on Broadway. This month, food trucks started convening on Wednesdays in the Revolution Room’s parking lot. Head down after 6 p.m.,* when StrEAT Food will feature six trucks, including Bistro Six, Rickshaw Stop, and Saweet Cupcakes. The night ends whenever the trucks run out of food.

Personally, I can’t think about eating outside right now. It’s just too damn hot. So I’ll be playing Culinaria Restaurant Week, which starts this Saturday, instead. Foodies and diners looking to sample the best of San Antonio’s fare can try three-course prix fixe menus all over town. Participating restaurants will offer a dinner menu for $35, with some also offering lunch menus for $15. Restaurants are always packed this week, so definitely call for a reservation. Go to culinariasa.com for a list of participating restaurants, phone numbers, and menus.
