Whether you need to impress, want to guarantee a great night out or actually like being around cutesy proposals, here's a quick list of V-Day ideas to consider. All dates are for Saturday, February 14, unless otherwise noted.

Cocktail-lovers can take a hands-on sweet and savory cocktail pairing class at Gustology. The class will include instructions on how to make a Kir Royale, strawberry piscorita and raspberry chocolate Godiva while you nosh on bruschetta, charcuterie, nuts, fruits and chocolate covered strawberries (naturally). Classes, $50, are available at 6 and 7:30 p.m. at 1856 Nacogdoches, (210) 892-1292.

If you love your dog more than you love most people, but you still want to watch awkward Tinder dates, then visit Stay Golden Social House (401 Pearl Pkwy), which will host a Puppy Love Doggy Date event from 4 to 7 p.m. with heart-shaped dog treats for your canine Valentine.

The anti-love set that hates pink decorations coming up immediately after Christmas can join The Brooklynite for their second Anti-Valentine's Day shindig that'll feature $8 Whiskey Kiss (at least it won't dump you later), along with '90 slow jams starting at 9 p.m.

In the realm of romantic dinners, Perry's Steakhouse & Grille (15900 La Cantera Pkwy, Ste. 22200, 210-558-616) will host prix fixe menus on Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, for $59.95 per person before 5:30 p.m. or $74.95 per person after 6 p.m. Items include lobster bisque, choice of Perry's famous pork chop, 8-ounce filet mignon or sesame crusted Ahi tuna and the milk chocolate peanut butter candy bar.

Magnolia Pancake Haus (10333 Huebner, (210496-0828) will host a rare dinner inside with two seatings, a three-course meal at 5:30 p.m. and a four-course dinner with canapés beforehand, set at $45 and $55, respectively. Tickets are available online.

Is your boo into sports? Treat them to "The Perfect Filet," at Cover 3 (1806 NW Loop 1604, 210-479-9700). The meal consists of an 8-ounce filet mignon with bacon goat cheese butter, topped with a seared scallop and served with garlic mashed potatoes. It goes for $34.95.

How does a chocolate sphere, melted tableside with hibiscus-infused caramel and filled with a guava cheesecake and flourless chocolate ginger cake sound? The Gaucho Kitchen menu at NAO (312 Pearl Pkwy, 210-554-6484) will finish its three-course dinner with the aforementioned Chocolate Exotica dessert. Reservations are $75 per couple with additional wine pairings set at $20 per person.
