The Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission's latest undercover operation targeting people who sell alcohol to minors tested more than 900 businesses across the Lone Star State as fall semesters for college students began.
Less than 10 percent of targeted businesses fail the stings. A whopping 91 percent of businesses passed.
“We are pleased to see that the vast majority of retailers are doing the right thing and making sure alcohol is sold only to customers who are of legal age,” Chief Robert Saenz, TABC Chief of Field Operations, said in a press release. “However, even one violation is one too many. TABC remains committed to upholding public safety and ensuring the safe, lawful and responsible sale of alcohol.”
