Another day, another NBA record for Spurs legend Tim Duncan. Yawn.
Duncan, along with Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, became the most successful triumvirate in NBA history earlier this week. They surpassed Larry Bird, Robert Parish and Kevin McHale of the Boston Celtics for the most wins by a trio of teammates with 541.
Last night, after a win against the New York Knicks, Duncan set a record of his own. He set the NBA record for most wins with a single team: 954. John Stockton, a former point guard with the Utah Jazz, previously held the record, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
Duncan's recording is a testament to both his skill and his longevity. Duncan has personally won more games than five NBA franchises: the Charlotte Hornets, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the New Orleans Pelicans and the Toronto Raptors.
Duncan and the Spurs will look to add to his career total on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.
