Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz's artistic sensibilities are raising red flags about who he is willing to associate with.

The Texas Tribune reports that he is ending a relationship with a street artist named Sabo, who created the famous poster of a tattoo-clad Cruz with a cigarette dangling from his lips. Cruz had been selling the merchandise on his campaign website.

This is a guy who calls Black Lives Matter activists chimps; questions whether Hillary Clinton is a woman; says Bill Clinton has raped more women then he's slept with; called President Barack Obama a shoeshine boy; and on and on.

Cruz backpedaled on his relationship with Sabo after the liberal talk show host Cenk Uygur, of The Young Turks, exposed the artist's racist social media rants.

In all caps, naturally, Sabo has responded to Uygur.

TEAM CRUZ BENT TO THE YOUNG TURKS AND TOOK ME OFF THEIR SITE. WAY TO HANDLE THE MEDIA GUYS. AND EVEN WORSE THEY ARE USING THE HIT PIECE TO SELL SHEPARD FAIRIES SAD DESIGN FOR BERNIE SANDERS.

Shepard Fairey is a street artist who created the iconic "Hope" poster for Obama. In this election cycle he's aligned with Bernie Sanders.

Here's a video of The Young Turks segment that prompted Cruz to stop selling Sabo's work:
