A San Antonio man who stole video recordings and photos of patrons at the former Crown Plaza hotel having sex pleaded guilty Tuesday to having approximately 700 images and 270 videos of children engaged in sexually sadistic or masochistic conduct, according to a news release and a media report.

Luis Armando Ontiveros, 34, of San Antonio, was sentenced to a little more than 12 years in prison for receiving child pornography, the FBI announced. Ontiveros admitted to downloading child pornography between July 2013 and November 2015.

Prosecutors told a judge that Ontiveros, who worked at the Crown Plaza, which is now the Wyndham, stole images and videos of people who stayed at the hotel from 2013 to 2015 by installing keylogger software, which records passwords, on hotel computers used by guests, the San Antonio Express-News reports. He could then use those passwords to access social media accounts, emails and photo-hosting sites.

Ontiveros was one of 215,000 people swept up during a two-week operation known as "Operation Pacifier" in 2015 when FBI agents infected a website called "Playpen," a child porn site, on an anonymous TOR network on the internet with malware to control its servers to identify its users before shutting down the website, the newspaper reported.
