For the first time since 1997, the San Antonio Spurs released a season schedule that won't feature Tim Duncan.

But it's time to make our collective goodbyes a reality and get ready for phenom Kawhi Leonard to wow us all; for LaMarcus Aldridge to continue finding his place on the team while banking shots and grabbing rebounds; and for Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker to dazzle us as they always have.

And the first game of the season is sure to be a doozy. San Antonio will take on the Golden State Warriors on their home turf October 25 to open up the season. The Spurs' home opener will be October 29 against the New Orleans Pelicans. You can check out the whole schedule here. Unfortunately for us, though, the Spurs won't get a chance to take on NBA champs LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers until next March.

As of now, the Spurs are still finalizing their roster. The San Antonio Express-News reports that the team has signed 14 players. By the time the season starts, the roster must be set at 15. During pre-season training the Spurs can have 20 players on the roster. The Express-News reports that rookies Patricio Garino, Bryn Forbes and Ryan Arcidiacono are signed to partially guaranteed contracts and that the Spurs are courting forward Thomas Robinson and one-time star Ray Allen.

Nonetheless, we'll all miss seeing Duncan on the court and on the bench next season. With that said, here's what's sure to become a timeless YouTube video: Duncan speaking with childhood friend Rashidi Clenance in the only interview he gave after his retirement. Thanks again Timmy, hope to see you at a game next season.
