5MB 11/5

This installment of MB is brought to you by Officer D-Pad. 1MB Keiji Inafune, former global head of production for Capcom and creator of Mega Man, defended his reasons for leaving Capcom in a recent interview. "In short, it's like a communist state," Inafune said. “Working as hard as you can is your own loss. Not working hard becomes more advantageous. But doesn't that get in the way of making games? You can't make good games by just taking it easy," he said. Inafune also said that most people take it easy because of the fat, glorious paychecks they receive, and seem to ask for more than they produce.  We need more game designers and free thinkers like this. [1up] 2MB Like your last relationship, this one here has come to an end. As of Nov. 1, DirectTV and G4TV are no longer together. In a case of “he said, she said,” DirectTV told Entertainment Weekly that high costs were the reason for letting go of the network. G4TV said that DirectTV refused to carry them. If only Glenn Beck could get in a dispute with all networks so they would just stop carrying him

Anyways, to read the G4TV statement, go here and to read DirectTV’s, go here. I guess I will just have to watch my future wife Olivia Munn somewhere else now. [Game Politics] 3MB For everyone who plays Madden and loves football, you know by now that Randy Moss will be joining his third team, the Titans, this year. The roster update comes out today, and even though Moss and the Titans have a bye week, you can still play your hearts out with your new favorite, love-to-hate player. EA Sports still has not said how many passes Moss is expected to drop in double coverage or if he will tell you how much the food at your house is ‘crap.’ [Kotaku] 4MB For the people who thought that Silent Hill could have been better (or upset because it didn’t follow the story well) you may or may not like this. Silent Hill: Revelations is the next chapter in the movie franchise, and it revolves around the plot of Silent Hill 3 and Heather Mason. The official synopsis is quoted as saying “For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now, on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.” While this sounds promising, the only thing truly scary so far is that the movie will be shot in 3D. It can’t be as bad as Resident Evil: Afterlife, and hopefully we’ll get more Pyramid Head in this one. [Kotaku] 5MB In the continuing saga of Schwarzenegger Vs. EMA, the Entertainment Merchants Association’s president issued a brief statement in where he says that he hopes the justices of the court see that restricting the sale of violent video games is unconstitutional. However, there is fear that should the state of California win; the consequences could bring more legal battles. Helene Keeley, a House representative from Delaware has tried before to shoot video games down, and has vowed to try again should the courts rule in favor of the state. Just so it’s known, she was up for re-election and won. This is why everyone should get involved in politics! [Game Politics]
