I hope that everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. Let's get right to the fun stuff, shall we? 1MB Axl Rose, the front man of the greatest band in the world Guns N’ Roses (yes, Chinese Democracy still counts) has finally found time to file a $20 million lawsuit against Activision for using Slash on the cover of Guitar Hero III. Rose’s lawyer, Skip Miller, said that “This lawsuit is about protecting Guns N' Roses and 'Welcome to the Jungle,' and is about holding Activision accountable for its misuse of these incredibly valuable assets.” In other words, Rose is trying to bring Activision to their SHA-NA-NA-NA-NA KNEES, KNEEEEES. Yes. I went there. You think I would know “Better.” Ok, I’ll stop. (Game Politics) 2MB While on the subject of Activision, Eric Hirshberg, the new CEO of the company, has told Kotaku that the company has no plans to charge for the Call of Duty multiplayer. “Are we going to be charging for multiplayer? The answer is no," he said. While titles such as Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops have been deemed safe, it is still unsure if the company will branch the franchise out in the future that may fall in the pay-as-you-go MMO category. If you’re a 360 owner, now would be the time to start praying to the giant controller in the sky. Sixty dollars a year just to go online is enough hemorrhaging already. Imagine another fee (Kotaku)

3MB Mark Wahlberg has confirmed in a MTV interview that he is expected to take on a role in the upcoming Uncharted movie, based on the popular video game series. While Marky-Mark and his famous abs has not come out and said he is taking on the role of Nathan Drake, he hinted that writer David O. Russell (of Three Kings and I Heart Huckabees fame) has roles in mind for both Robert De Niro and Joe. With the critical acclaim (sarcastic tone needed) for video game movies, the hopes for this film are high. Plus, it can't be any worse than Wahlberg's Max Payne adventure. But wait, wasn't Mila Kunis in that movie? Oohh that Mila Kunis... (JoyStiq) 4MB The newest Timothy Plan report is out, and it helps parents, who actually want help, finding out what is in the most recent games out. The report rates games on a scale of 1-3 (1being good, 3 being the worst) and breaks down each game according to sex, violence, language, etc. While the company is geared towards a more Christian-based audience, their website states that they are in no way trying to ban games, but simply inform. To the parents who complain that there is no time to find out what your kids are playing: here you go. (Game Politics) 5MB Due to a self-induced food coma (and also part lazy journalism) here is a video of a gamer who has found out some hidden messages in Black Ops. How no one else has figured this out, I don’t know. But it makes this game that much more exciting. Warning: Video does contain spoilers. Enjoy.
