Starlight Comedy Night @ LOL with comedian Tom Simmons

Posted By on Tue, Mar 8, 2011 at 4:36 AM

Whenever I see those late night commercials where the poor children in other countries are sad and famished - I can’t help but ask “Just who are they targeting these commercials too anyways?”

Anybody who is watching is either completely high debating an episode of Robot Chicken - or completely drunk trying to guess the exact percentage of beef in their Taco Bell through the combined powers of taste and regret.

These are not the people who can help anybody, much less themselves.

However, if you are inclined to help, it may just be as easy as going out and getting a laugh.

On Thursday, March 10, LOL Comedy Club will host a special event called, Starlight Comedy Night. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to local charity, Starlight Children’s Foundation, an organization helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear, and isolation through entertainment, education, and family activities.

Headlining will be Tom Simmons, a comedian who blends comedy with philosophy to make you think differently and question everything from the day-to-day norm to cultural and personal beliefs – all while being incredibly funny.

You will have a good time for a great cause, and if all goes right you’re next drunken rendezvous with a Bell Grande may not even feel all that shameful.

Tom Simmons will be performing Wed-Sun, for a full interview pick up this week’s Current at any of your favorite locations.
