Apocalypse. Now What

With a playful nod to Francis Ford Coppola’s 1979 war epic, Jump-Start Performance Co. rallies the troops for Apocalypse. Now What???, the nonprofit’s 28th Annual Performance Party. Promising relief from meteor showers, zombie attacks, and rogue computers, the survival-themed smorgasbord showcases jazz pianist, vocalist, and songwriter Bett Butler; “lesbiana, writer, educator, and multidisciplinary artista” Anel Flores; theater director, arts educator, actress, and storyteller “Mari Chingas” Barrera; sharply satiric multi-media performance company Comedia A Go-Go; lucha libre-themed multi-disciplinary cultural arts program Aztec Gold TV; progressive collaborative San Antonio Dance Fringe; inter-faith community Celebration Circle — and tribal fusion troupe Zombie Bazaar Belly Dance. $10; 7pm Sat, Jan 5; The Sterling Houston Theater at Jump-Start, 108 Blue Star, (210) 227- 5867, Check out our full online calendar of upcoming events here:
