Curated by Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Executive Director Patty Ortiz, this traveling artistic exhibition features installations by local artists Cruz Ortiz, Chris Sauter, Andy Benavides, Victor and Sarah Pagona and Mat Kubo. Location: Museo Guadalupe parking lot, 723 S Brazos Music: Bekah Kelso & The Fellas  9-11:30 p.m., Friday, March 21 Our music critic called Bekah Kelso the solo artist of the year for 2013. She managed to do it all: release a superb album she recorded in the middle of a pregnancy (Within the Shifting Shade), celebrate with a kick-ass party at 502, just to name a few. Spend a Saturday at Artpace for an afternoon of creation and collaboration. This free event provides such fresh activities as tours, creation stations, hands-on responses to Artpace’s exhibitions, workshops with local artists, the city’s largest TASK Party and an exclusive teen zone. Location: Artpace, 445 N. Main Ave. Film: Frozen         8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22 Slab Cinema screens the current Disney favorite Frozen, about the enduring love between two sisters and an adorable snowman.  The film won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song ("Let It Go") and the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. Don't be surprised if you hear a chorus of all the little girls in attendance singing along to "Let It Go." Texas native Choctaw storyteller Tim Tingle visits the Twig in support of his new novel House of Purple Cedar. The book follows Rose Goode's story of her growing up in Indian Territory in pre-statehood Oklahoma. Skullyville, a once-thriving Choctaw community, was destroyed by land-grabbers, culminating in the arson on New Year's Eve, 1896, of New Hope Academy for Girls. Read our review of the book. Texas-made wine and spirits will be front and center during Twin Liquor’s Texas Fest Grand Tasting. Meet local crafters and sample selections via White Hat Rum, Treaty Oak, Tito’s, Bone Spirits, McPherson Cellars and PepeZ Tequila. Attend a live performance by Hyperbubble, the visual and performing arts electro pop/synthpop duo from San Antonio, Jeff DeCuir and Jess Barnett DeCuir. Jeff and Jess will also reveal the story of their start in electronic music, a demo of their electronic instruments, and a Q&A session with the audience. The event happens under the Pavilion on the Landa Branch Library grounds. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the Synthposium. Should it rain, the program will be cancelled. Curated by the Menil Collection’s Toby Kamps, this Contemporary Art Month exhibition unites artists Melanie Crader, Francesca Fuchs, Rachel Hecker, Mick Johnson, Jim Nolan, Stan Shellabarger, Dutes Miller and Jenny Schlief in a multimedia exploration of “themes and forms from indoor living in works as fraught, funky, and funny as home life itself.”
