The San Antonio Museum of Art hosts its weekly “Free Tuesdays,” thanks to their sponsor H-E-B. On Tuesday, June 10, SAMA presents Sketching in the Galleries. Participants will be led by a sketching instructor and will sketch their own art based on the museum’s collections of artwork. Havana Hi-Fi

The Hotel Havana presents Havana Hi-Fi, an evening of great music, no cover charge, as well as food and drink specials every Tuesday night from 7 pm to 10 pm Take advantage of Downtown Tuesdays and enjoy free parking from 5 pm to 2 am. The Mix

Local bar, The Mix, is known for its nightly live music with no cover charge and great drink specials. This week’s featured artists include the local and versatile group Villela on Tuesday June 10. Bri Bagwell with The Washers

The County Line restaurant is kicking off their annual Ancira Chrysler Jeep Dodge Live Music Series, this month, for the 14th year. The series features some of the greatest, Texas and national, country bands and artists from Blake Shelton to Kevin Fowler. This week’s feature performing artist is Bri Bagwell with The Washers with their Texan country music touch on June 11. This is a free event and all attendees are requested to make a donation to the San Antonio Food Bank, by donating canned goods, making purchase of refreshments or a monetary donation. Weed Wednesday

Phil Hardberger Park presents Weed Wednesday for all ages at no cost, on June 11 from 8:30 am. to 10:30 am. This event allows participants to come together with the park’s naturalists and to rid the park of invasive species. Each week the Weed Wednesday Warriors focus on a different area of the park, making for a great opportunity for the family to get their hands dirty for a cause. Book Discussion: Fetch the Devil: The Sierra Diablo Murders and Nazi Espionage in America

Austin author Clint Richmond, will be holding a book discussion and signing for his new non-fiction book, Fetch the Devil: The Sierra Diablo Murders and Nazi Espionage in America, at Barnes & Noble at The Shops at La Cantera on Saturday, June 14. Richmond’s book explores the unsolved murder of Hazel and Nancy Frome, a Nazi spy ring and America on the brink of another war. Father’s Day Storytime

Barnes & Noble’s San Pedro location will be hosting a special storytime event called Father’s Day Storytime on Saturday, June 14 at 11 am and again at 1 pm. The event will surround the celebration of fathers with the reading of Mighty Dads by Joan Holub and James Dean, along with Father’s Day card making crafts. Family Flicks: The Red Balloon and A Cat in Paris 

The San Antonio Museum of Art’s Family Flicks series continues with The Red Balloon, a story about a boy who discovers a red balloon floating around Paris, and A Cat in Paris, which follows a cat named Dino who is a house cat by day and a cat burglar by night. These films will be screening Saturday June 14 at 8:35 pm and guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. "Metalsexual” New Works of Louie Chavez

Silkworm Studio and Gallery will be premiering a new exhibition called, “Metasexual” by Louie Chavez on Saturday, June 14 at 7 pm. The exhibit aims to ask the question “Are You Metalsexual?” and features a series of mixed media pieces that will challenge viewers using heavy metal iconography. Cindy Tower’s “Buddha Belly”

3rd Space Art Gallery presents “Buddha Belly” by Cindy Towers Saturday, June 14 from 7 pm to 10 pm. This visual arts lab will exhibit live painted models as they eat tacos and watch TV while posing as Buddha at the same time. This gallery focuses on all of the current San Antonio trends portrayed through visual arts. The 3rd Space Art Gallery holds monthly exhibits every second Saturday of the month. Closing reception: David and Daniel Frank: “Infinite Yes”

Sala Diaz Art Gallery hosts a closing reception, on Sunday June 15, for Twin brothers Daniel and David Frank’s exhibit “Infinite Yes.” The brothers, who were in residence at the gallery for two weeks, set out to create and install a space of sacred resonance for the community. This time around, the brothers brought their living philosophy “Infinite Yes” from Boulder, Colorado and Tumbaco, Ecuador to San Antonio.
