Six Flags Fiesta Texas has added a new ride to its water park – Bahama Blaster – touted as the world’s steepest water slide that sounds too scary to be real.

According to Six Flags, the ride begins at the top of a six-stories high platform. Riders stand inside an enclosed capsule with a trap door. When the door releases, riders are launched downward at an 80-degree angle at 40 mph.

That means you will climb hundreds of feet in the air, with only your swimsuit on, where you will meet a friendly park employee who will ask you to step inside a watery coffin before dropping you straight down at close to highway speeds on a plastic slide.

This new attraction has four slides. Two of the slides send riders on a straight and speedy path to their doom (I mean, to the bottom), while the remaining two slides loop and twist around the structure. Also, the tubes are transparent so family and friends can watch one another writhe in terror as they zip by in the tubes.

Predictably, the water slide thrill level is set to “max.” If anyone thought of bringing their toddler on this ride, sorry; riders must be 48” tall to experience the nightmare.

Also, line wait time ranges between 15 - 30 minutes, says a spokesperson for Fiesta Texas.

The Bahama Blaster is part of Six Flags Fiesta expansion and renovation of their water park White Water Bay. The additions include two kids' slides, a VIP cabana village, a tiki bar, and a lounging lagoon.

This video below is a behind-the-scenes look at how they built this monstrosity.
