The McNay will be hosting Pecha Kucha Vol. 17 presentations at 6 pm. Pecha Kucha, which means 'Chit Chat' in Japanese, are a Japanese style of presentation in which the presenter attempts to share a creative idea with 20 slides that are 20 seconds each packaging the presentation into six minutes and 40 seconds. Pecha Kucha was founded by two architects in Tokyo in 2003; the format was created in order to keep audiences enticed as people tend to lose focus with regular PowerPoint presentations that should ideally only last around 10 minutes, which PowerPoint presenters always go over board.

Key speakers to look out for are founder of Go Fisch New Media Sarah Fisch, Competitive Scrabble Player Alex Rivard, and Social Artist Jack McGilvray. Sarah Fisch has done it all from authoring a children's book to stand-up comedy, and now she has created Go Fisch New Media which is serving as a consultation space for emerging creative talent. Apart from being a very talented competitive scrabble player, Alex Rivard is a trained chef who instructs classes at Central Market's cooking school. Jack McGilvray is a social artist who has exhibited her documentary photography frequently at Blue Star. Her body of work mainly discuss her observation of family and identity.

Pecha Kucha's are a great way for creative minds to get their ideas and art out in the open. This format works especially well in San Antonio, because we all know that every one in San Antonio has a degree of ADHD. So anything that is short and concise is very effective among San Antonians. Pecha Kucha is a great way of networking with creative minds alike, which will hopefully lead to amazing collaborations. Suggested donation of $5, 6 pm, McNay Art Muesum, 6000 N. New Braunfels Ave, (210) 824-5368, mcnay.org/events.
