Luminaria, a festival for the senses which was recently rained out in October, will now be a year-round contemporary art showcase, so expect many stellar events to pop-up throughout the year!

As a kick off, the festival will be back at the San Antonio Museum of Art February 19, starting at 8pm. It can be predicted that the historical museum will be decked out with mixed media wizardry, projections, poetry, dancers, and live music, but art is always adapting, expanding and changing, so not one Luminaria event will be the same.

The second evening of art – visual, musical or otherwise – will be held at the Tobin Center on February 24 at 7pm, and will focus on experimental film and dance, with events in both the theatre and on the Riverwalk Plaza.

Like all Luminaria events, both events will be free. You can view the list of participating artists here
