The first ever Imagine Fest, hosted by “The Loudest Bookstore in Texas,” is a seven-day music festival boasting more than 35 local and national acts (and even one from Canada). This latest venture from Imagine Books and Records — voted Best DIY Venue and Best Small Venue by San Antonio Current readers in our most recent San Antonio Music Awards — features plenty to be excited about, including SA treasures Fish Brain, More Eaze and Octahedron, as well as visiting acts Weed (Vancouver), Advance Base (Chicago) and Dome Dwellers (Denton). Sunday’s kickoff includes sets by Mr.Pidge (7pm), Vetter Kids (8pm), Crown (9pm), Verisimilitude (10pm) and The Grasshopper Lies Heavy (11pm). $7 per night, 7pm-midnight Sun, Imagine Books and Records, 8373  Culebra Road, (210) 236-7668, imaginebooksandrecords.com. — JC
