Paper Trail SA, an event dedicated to paper art, will make its second appearance beginning May 13 at Brick Marketplace in the Blue Star Arts Complex.

Organized by Tiny Roar Creative, the two-day event will feature over 40 artists and vendors selling pieces at affordable prices. Ranging from the classy to the underground, the exhibition will host a variety of styles such as etchings, lithographs and screen prints. Live art-making and a film screening will also be shown at the forum.

Paper Trail is free to attend, but visitors may purchase artwork to add to their collections. For buyers who want to skip the lines, Paper Trail will hold a Pre-shop Mixer on Friday, May 13. Tickets for the mixer can be purchased online for $15 to $28 and will include a poster, “swag bag” and T-shirt.

“With a little bit of luck, a lot of hard work and a touch of ‘rock ’n’ roll,’ our goal is to provide a unique experience aimed at connecting artists to collectors in a forum that celebrates the artistic process and the culture of design and printmaking,” according to Paper Trail’s website.

Last year, over 1,000 guests and 40 sellers attended the exhibition. A majority of artists were successful in selling their works, which demonstrates the exposure this event gives local artists.
