Barney Smith’s Toilet Seat Art Museum
When: By appointment only
Where: 239 Abiso Ave
This free and unconventional museum features one man’s toilet seat collection. There promises to be something for everyone, with seat designs including stills from classic television shows like “I Love Lucy” and plastered casket handles. Beer Fang’s VHS Cinema
When: Tuesdays, 6 p.m. Continues through Aug. 2
Where: Paper Tiger
If you are yearning to see some whacky VHS movies, then you are luck because Paper Tiger will be hosting a weekly movie night on Tuesdays. Movies will begin at dusk and there will be $1 hot dogs, $3 wells and $7 pitchers available.
Live Trivia Tuesday
When: Tuesdays, 9:30 p.m.
Where: Three-Legged Monkey
For those of us who have something to prove, trivia is a great way to spend Tuesday nights. Plus, there is a $50 prize for first place, $20 for second and $10 for third- not bad for a free night.
Live Trivia Thursday
When: Thursdays, 8:30-10:30 p.m.
Where: The Ringer Pub
Just in case you didn’t get your weekly trivia fix on Tuesday, there is a trivia night on Thursdays as well. The Ringer Pub’s prizes include a piece of the $80 pot.
Little Woodrow’s Turtle Races
When: Thursdays, 8:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Continues through Sept. 27
Where: Little Woodrow’s
Expect the unexpected in the wonderful world of turtle racing, where fast pace and a sense of direction are the last things on these turtle’s minds. There are three heats a night beginning at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 pm.
