Charles Barkley Actually Had Something Nice to Say About San Antonio For Once

Posted By on Wed, Dec 20, 2017 at 10:40 AM

Charles Barkley is notorious for talking smack about San Antonio, most notably the fat women and the dirty creek that is the River Walk – his words, not mine. But for once, the basketball-player-turned-analyst found something he likes about the Alamo City.

Or at least Hotel Emma, which is where he stayed a few weeks ago while filming for a Capital One commercial. During a segment of Inside the NBA last week, Barkley had plenty of nice things to say about the prized hotel at the Pearl.

"I stayed at one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at," he said. Barkley even went so far as to call the hotel "unbelievable."

Plenty of San Antonians shared photos of themselves with Barkley, who was all smiles. Maybe it was the food over at Sternewirth, Larder or Supper that had him in such a good mood. Or perhaps a deep tissue massage at the Hiatus Spa? Or just the overall vibes of the Pearl?

Check out the clip below to hear it for yourself. And no, he still didn't apologize for his "fat women" comments.
