Last year was a big one for Creative Creatures — the multidisciplinary brainchild of married artists Karen and Eddy Rios. Launched in January 2014 as a venue-hopping, theme-changing event series aiming to fuse the art and music scenes of San Antonio and environs, the collaborative operation expanded in December with the opening of a Creative Creatures gallery and shop in the Blue Star Arts Complex.

Having recently paid homage to the eccentric universe of Texan filmmaker Wes Anderson with an amusing tribute exhibition, the duo is poised to present their largest offering yet: a four-year anniversary party uniting more than 40 artists and vendors — including familiar names like Regina Morales, Zane Thomas, Nik Soupé and La Santa Luna Boutique as well as such young talents as Nathaniel Garza, an autistic 12-year-old who creates work under the moniker Artism.

In addition to “creations from every art genre and style imaginable,” the celebration features live music from Latin indie orquesta Volcán and progressive pop punks The Lost Project, DJ beats by TypicalZach, a custom photo booth backdrop and treats for purchase from Enlighten Veggie Food to Go and Cake Thieves.

$5 (free for kids 12 and under), Saturday, January 13, 7-9pm, Brick at Blue Star, 108 Blue Star, (210) 262-8653,
