Resident Kacy Catanzaro, who gained popularity after becoming the first woman to complete the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course, is now part of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) family.

According to a press release from WWE, Catanzaro is reporting to NXT, a division of the company's wrestling league that airs Wednesday evenings on the WWE Network.

Although there presently isn't any information on whether Catanzaro will be a single wrestler or be part of a tag team (or maybe a girl gang?!), it's still pretty exciting that San Antonio talent is being recognized.

Catanzaro first got national attention after she completed the American Ninja Warrior course – yes, including the warped wall – in 2014, making her the first woman to do so.
Her performance got her on WWE's radar and allowed her to work out at the company's performance center last year, according to the release.

Catanzaro, along with ANW alumni Brett Steffensen, owns San Antonio's Alpha Warrior Gym, where athletes train for the intense competition and other fitness purposes. All that training has earned Catanzaro a spot on Sports Illustrated's Fittest 50 list of the best female athletes in the world – twice.

Now, it seems her hard work has paid off since she's "becoming a WWE Superstar." Here's what Catanzaro had to say about the news:
