That’s Not Fair!/¡No Es Justo!: Emma Tenayuca’s Struggle for Justice, a children’s book by Carmen Tafolla, Sharyll Teneyuca and Terry Ybanez, is a gem of a book and a fine, kid-friendly introduction to the titular heroine — an influential labor leader, educator, activist and San Antonian.

Born out of a workshop at SAY Sí in 2009, a dramatic adaptation of the book, developed by Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Director of Performing Arts Joel Settles, along with Tafolla, will show for one night only this weekend. The show, which features live music and dance, is a special tribute to exactly the kind of role model we could all use right about now. Tafolla and Teneyuca will be on hand to give a presentation before the show and take questions afterwards.

$5, Fri Feb. 23, 8pm, Guadalupe Theater, 1301 Guadalupe St., (210) 371-3151,
