Comedian/musician Heather Land has made herself social-media famous over the last few years with her viral videos featuring herself talking about everyday stuff while using the “Big Eyes Big Mouth” Snapchat filter that makes everyone look like a character from the web series Annoying Orange.

With over 300 million views on her Snapchat platform, the single mom of two from Tennessee (southern twang included) says she has found the “funny out of the frustrating” and invites audiences to experience her life through her self-deprecating, sarcastic style of comedy – from ex-husbands to failed diets and everything in between. Along with her stand-up performance, Land also sings some original songs that fit in nicely with her humor.

In one of her ditties, which she is using to promote her 40-city comedy tour, Land asks fans to come to her show because she knows “You don’t have anything better to do / I’m no Kevin Hart but friends tell me I’m a real hoot.” In another, she jumps on the keyboards and sings about her kid’s kindergarten graduation (“So much potential / No more fat Crayons”).

$33.25-$53.25, Wed Jun 27, 7pm, The Majestic Theatre, 224 E. Houston St., (210) 226-3333, majesticempire.com.
