Best known for his performances on the sketch-comedy show
In Living Color in the early ’90s (he did impersonations of Sammy Davis Jr. and Michael Jackson and got whacked over the head a lot by Homey D. Clown), stand-up Tommy Davidson has been a consistent presence on the comedy circuit since making his debut at a D.C. strip club in 1986. The following year, he won an amateur stand-up contest at the Apollo Theater and decided to move to Hollywood to see if he could build a career out of making people laugh.
Since then, Davidson has been featured in a number of movies, including Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls,
Booty Call,
Bamboozled,
Juwanna Mann and on the adult animated Blaxploitation TV series
Black Dynamite as Cream Corn, a member of the title character’s slick, polyester-wearing crew. Davidson’s more recent projects include a role in
Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens and a gig as host of the CW Saturday morning TV series
Vacation Creation where he and on-air personality Andrea Feczko surprise families with extravagant vacations.
