Not too long after Tony Parker said he will miss the Spurs and his time in San Antonio, Gregg Popovich has returned the love to the longtime Spur.

In a recent interview with Chinese website Hupu.com, Parker said he will retire as a Spurs player. In line with his heartfelt goodbye letter to San Antonio, Parker continued to praise the team that gave him his start in the NBA.
Now, Popovich has good things to say about his longtime guard when speaking with French website Le'Equipe.

"We will be friends for life," Popovich said. "Our families know each other very well. San Antonio will always be his second home, after France."

He was sure to make it clear that Parker leaving the Spurs doesn't change much.

"We will obviously miss him, but he will always remain a member of the Spurs, especially since he will keep his house in San Antonio and will continue to spend time there," Popovich said.

Popovich's latest comments aren't too surprising given the emotional statement he gave after the news broke that Parker signed with the Hornets.
San Antonians will be able to catch Parker play at the AT&T Center again when the Spurs host the Hornets on January 14.
