LaMarcus Aldridge Says the Spurs Are 'Very Talented,' Even Better Than Last Year

During Monday's media day, returning Spur LaMarcus Aldridge had lots to say about the upcoming season.

Aldridge, one of the Spurs' leaders alongside veteran Patty Mills, said last season was a "transition year" and that he's excited about the team this go-around.

Aldridge said the franchise is "happy to turn the page" on all of the drama with Kawhi Leonard, which he declined to comment on. Instead, he felt it best to move on and look forward. Though the official era of the Big 3 is over, with Manu Ginobili's retirement and Tony Parker's signing with the Charlotte Hornets, Aldridge said the Spurs "have a very talented team."
He said the addition of rookies such as Lonnie Walker IV and veterans such as DeMar DeRozan and the returning Marco Belinelli have a lot to do with his high hopes.

"I look forward to playing with them," he said.
Aldridge said the team's biggest challenge will be finding chemistry with one another.



Only time will tell. The Spurs' preseason begins this Sunday, September 3o, with a matchup against the Miami Heat.
