As the cheesy and predictable season of nut-cracking, Hallmark movie marathons, big-box rage and forced familial affairs rears its jingly, peppermint-scented head, you might find yourself wondering if you can even endure it again. If that strain of seasonal malaise is among your holiday ailments, consider spicing up your Yuletide fare with a bountiful helping of bump-and-grind served up by the lovely ladies of Stars & Garters Burlesque.

Showcasing the talents of 1960s-inspired blond bombshell Suki Jones, “Transoceanic Tropical Tease” Black Orchid, tattooed, tassel-twirling redhead Pystol Whips and “long, lean and leggy” newcomer Giselle J’Adore, their Skin-Prov: Under the Mistletoe promises an evening of “holiday humor and interactive stripping” where “anything goes — especially the clothes!” In addition to spinning the “holiday song wheel” and participating in “reindeer games,” attendees can help shape the scantily clad show by selecting quirky props for the performers to use on stage. As a bonus, Skin-Prov boasts a few special guests who are “sure to roast your chestnuts.”

$20-$75, Sat Nov. 17, doors at 7pm, show at 8pm, Brick at Blue Star, 108 Blue Star, (432) 235-0414,
