What's 50 feet tall, covered with more than 10,000 handmade ornaments and red and white lights, and costs $250,000 to transport and decorate? If you guessed H-E-B's Blue Spruce Christmas tree, then give yourself a pat on the back.
Hailing from Northern Michigan, this year's tree will be lit up for all to enjoy at Travis Park from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23. This free community event will feature activities like holiday crafts, giveaways, live musical performances, cookie decorating stations, and letters to Santa, as well as a special visit from the big man in red himself. H-E-B has coordinated with VIA to provide free fare to those wishing to attend the tree lighting, set for 6:20 p.m.
