Giraffes will debut at the San Antonio Zoo's Africa Live exhibit this week.

For the first time in five years, giraffes are coming back to the San Antonio Zoo. After the long wait, zoo visitors will have the chance to feed these long-necked horses at the animals' height level. Experience their beauty as they stare at you blankly while you feed them lettuce at the new interactive feeding station. Don't be freaked out by the black tongues. That's normal. The giraffe experts will tell you that.

Not to worry animal lovers, these giraffes are kept in an open-area exhibit that the Zoo calls "naturalistic." They will be in the Africa Live space next to the zebra and the elephant. Several species of bird will also be present to annoy the giraffe. So it's just like real life!

Let's hope the new giraffe's like each other because giraffe battles are hardcore.
