As if you didn’t already know it, Stone Oak, you’re officially on the grid. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has just opened a third location in SA, and you’re the newest recipient of its specialty screenings, full dinner menu, and extensive beer selection. Located off 281 just North of Stone Oak Parkway, the new location will feature six screens, 800 total seats, digital projection, and stadium seating. The largest theater will have 200 seats.

Alamo Stone Oak opens Friday, November 5, and opening weekend screenings include For Colored Girls, Due Date, and Megamind. Specialty screenings of Julie and Julia (November 11), The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly (November 30), and The Life Aquatic (November 23) are also listed. And if you want to guarantee your seat on the Hogwarts Express, pre-sale tickets are available for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

Facebook wants to keep you on the grid while you’re at the theater too. Alamo Drafthouse garnered some national attention this week, listed as one of close to two dozen initial partners in a "Deals" initiative launched by Facebook on Wednesday. According to Omar L. Gallaga’s blog on austin360.com, Facebook hopes to create an incentive for users to “check in” at locations with some upgraded mobile apps. The Drafthouse will begin offering limited-edition pint glasses to customers, and the Drafthouse location with the most check-ins in a week will get a Rolling Roadshow outdoor screening.

The Alamo Drafthouse Stone Oak is located in the Villages at Stone Oak shopping center at 22806 US Highway 281 North, Suite 109. Tickets and movie times are available at the new theater's website.
