Add these to your list of molto buono ristorantes to visit when craving Italian:

Dough Pizzeria Napoletana (6989 Blanco Road): Featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Dough is owned by chef Doug and wife Lori Horn. Fresh ingredients, creamy burrata, and unique daily specials make it one of the top places to get a great pie. Get there early unless you really like waiting. (Thanks, Guy Fieri).

Il Sogno (200 E Grayson): We're fond of any place that carries Nutella on the table. Even so we trust our pizzas and antipasti to Andrew Weissman.

Sorrento Ristorante e Pizzeria (5146 Broadway): The family-owned and operated Alamo Heights restaurant is a go-to for Naples-style lunches.

Tanks Pizza (1917 N New Braunfels Ave): I know the name suggests you'll find great pizza, but while a good 'za is definitely worth a trip down to Tank's, the calzones are also worth trying. Not only are they made with fresh, airy dough, but you're getting a good bang for your buck with their build-your-own option of up to four toppings.

Tre Trattoria (4003 Broadway, 401 S. Alamo): Perfect place for a power lunch whether you're having any of the house-made pastas or "griddled" pizza.
