You can still check out the window lunch service Friday.

Much like Miley Cyrus, chef Andrew Weissman seems to subscribe to the "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" mantra.  No, he's not donning tiny blonde pigtails or twerking (as far as we know), but Weissman opened the curbside window at Minnie's Tavern (328 E Josephine) off Avenue A this Thursday, September 26 at 11 a.m. for an experimental lunch service.

There was only one menu item: a stellar falafel jam-packed with garlic hummus, house-pickled veggies, tahini, harissa (a Tunisian chili sauce), bib lettuce and dill labneh priced at $7 (cash-only). Guests were invited to use the outdoor patio. Bottled sodas, water, Topo Chico and Mexican Coke were available.

Weissman first announced the window lunch-time service last Saturday via Twitter.  Food-nerds looking to check out the lunchtime falafel (which may or may not expand to include a meat-filled sammie next week) can try stopping by Friday, September 27 at 11 a.m. Same deal, cash-only, only falafels, patio seating-that's it.
