First Course: Boozy events at The Hangar Tavern and Market on Houston

The Hangar Tavern (14532 Brook Hollow) is having their monthly wine tasting tomorrow, Thursday, September 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost to attend is $10, which includes 10 wine samples, light snacks, a complimentary wine screw and a raffle ticket. Be sure to think of some good questions, because there’s gonna be a professional sommelier there to school you on wine.

We love drinking, but we really love drinking in interesting places like The Witte Museum (3801 Broadway). For only $10 you can drop by Cocktails and Culture: The Witte Uncorked on Wednesday, September 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to hear about the dino-tastic things going on over there all while enjoying a drink.

Few things make a weekend better than a good brunch and Cocina Heritage The Restaurant (118 N Medina) is holding their Nogada Brunch on Saturday, September 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Get your tickets now so you can munch on some good Mexican entrees, delicious flan and refreshing agua de limon.

Boardwalk on Bulverde (14732 Bulverde) is holding its 4th Annual OctoBeer Feast, Food & Beer Festival Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5 and its all to benefit the new San Antonio Children’s Museum. So, justify your beer and food truck cravings by saying that you’re just trying to help the children. The stars at night are big and bright and you can enjoy those along with Southeast Asian fare during Tuk Tuk Tap Room's next Full Moon dinner on Wednesday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include dinner by chef David Gilbert, beer pairings by Steve Newman and a visit with Nick Benz, Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales' chief operating officer. Get tickets for the $75 dinner through Eventbrite.com. The only thing better than champagne and dinner is when you put those two together. Market on Houston (205 E Houston) is having a four-course champagne dinner on Thursday, October 9 that will have you bubbling with excitement. Reservations are required and the dinner is $125 a head. So get to saving.
