Land in The Hangar (8203 Broadway) on Sunday, September 28th for National Drink A Beer Day. All of their beers will be on special at Happy Hour price all day. ALL DAY. If you’re also a fan of beer buckets you should try their new craft beer buckets.

It takes a certain kind of person to not like pets or booze. If you’re not one of those people, this is for you. On Saturday, September 30th The Hangar (8203 Broadway) is hosting a pet adoption at 11a.m. held by the local non-profit SA R.O.C.K.S.. Come for the pets and stay for the $1 mimosas and $10 bottomless brunch until 4 p.m.

La Fogata (2427 Vance Jackson) has been cooling things off all September, but Tuesday, September 30 is the last day they’re serving their rasps on the patio. You can even add rum to your rasp if you want to get an added kick. If you’re making it a family affair all kids under 12 can get a free rasp with the purchase of an entree.

The Hangar Tavern (14532 Brook Hollow) is having their monthly Craft Beer Tasting, held every first Wednesday of the month. Drop in Wednesday, October 1 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will sample 10 craft beers from 5 different breweries. Admission is $5.00, which includes 10 beer samples, light snacks, a $10 Hangar Tavern gift card, and raffle ticket.

Q Kitchen|Bar (123 Losoya) is having their second annual Urban Backyard BBQ on Thursday, October 2. This free event is going down from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and it’s open to the public. Q Kitchen|Bar will hold a raffle at the event and donate proceeds from ticket sales to the Texas Burn Survivor Society. Prizes include a bottle of Q's 1972 Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon, Lunch for four at the Pasta Buffet, tickets to a beer or bourbon dinner, and a one night stay at the hotel, complete with breakfast. Q Kitchen|Bar will also donate 5% of proceeds from all dinners throughout the month of October to the Texas Burn Survivor Society.

Do you like Texas Hill Country wines, craft beers and cocktails, samplings from top local restaurants, live entertainment, and a silent auction all for a significant cause, to support the AFE (Amniotic Fluid Embolism) Foundation? We do, too. Tango of the Vines is happening Saturday, October 4, 2014, during the Second Annual bon vivant festival  that will be held at the Witte Museum (3801 Broadway).
