Rebelle, the first new restaurant to open this month blew it's doors wide open on Wednesday night. Brought to you by Andrew Goodman and chef Stefan Bowers of Feast fame, Rebelle inside the St. Anthony Hotel (300 E. Travis St.) is bringing familiar items with elevated French technique.

Here are the five first impressions I had while stopping by for a quick bite.

1. You should definitely make reservations. Much like Feast during Sunday brunch, the joint is hoppin'. Get those resos in or stand around awkwardly at the hostess stand.

2. This place is HUGE. At 5,000 square feet, Rebelle is a beast of a restaurant that can seat 190 people comfortably on ghost chairs and comfy black leather ones. Definitely take a tour of the space while there.

3. It's a bit dark. If you're about shooting pictures of your food, you may want to ask for a well-lit table. Otherwise, good luck. Rebelle takes Feast's aesthetic and gives it a darker, "sexier" turn. It's definitely intimate.

4. There's something for everyone. Sure you can get a gorgeous steak, but you can also dive into the seafood menu that includes a lobster green curry several pals were raving about. I leaned toward veggies for the night and the kitchen delivered with a beet* salad and a lump crab salad with bright thinly sliced green apples. The charbroiled oysters were also delicate and slightly sweet apricot sauce. I'm ready for more of what the menu has to offer in future visits.

5. Themed cocktails. Much like Feast's royalty-themed 'tails and Haunt's spooky lineup, Rebelle's list of cocktails features seven libations, this time themed "Temptations" and named after the seven deadly sins. Lust, with thyme-infused Moody June Texas gin, Maraschino liquor, Aperol and topped with sparkling rosé, is as alluring as it sounds.
